I am extremely honored and excited to chair the 2012 Air Force Charity Ball. This annual event is one of the largest fundraisers for the Air Force Aid Society (AFAS), the official charity of the United States Air Force. The AFAS provides emergency financial assistance to AF families in need, educational grants to spouses and children, and a wealth of community enhancement initiatives around the globe. Last year the Charity Ball brought in over $671,000 to support these critical aid programs, bringing the total to more than $3,900,000 since its inception in 2004. I am confident that with your assistance an even higher benchmark can be set with this year’s event.
The 2012 Charity Ball will be held on March 24, 2012 at the beautiful Waterford in Springfield, Virginia. Please mark your calendars now for this “not-to-be-missed” gala event! Once again, the evening will feature fabulous food, wonderful entertainment, warm camaraderie, and of course the highlight of the evening, treasures from around the world to bid on at the Silent Auction. With our Nation at war it is imperative that we continue to support the men and women of the US Air Force and their families.
